It can be exciting yet stressful to attend an event. Be it physical or virtual, there’s a lot of things to consider before you get the knack of it. Here are some things you should have in place before you attend to ensure a seamless event experience. Listed below is a checklist for conference and event attendees. 

Checklist for Physical Events

Before the Event :

Registration : Make sure you have registered for the event and have received confirmation of your attendance. 

Travel : If you need to travel to the event, make travel arrangements in advance, including transportation, accommodation, and any necessary visas or travel documents.

Schedule : Familiarize yourself with the event schedule and plan your itinerary accordingly.

Networking : Research speakers, sponsors, and attendees, and prepare a list of people you would like to meet at the event.

Pro Tip : In case you don’t have a pass, reach out to the event organiser directly. It saves a lot of time and many times, the organisers also appreciate the effort and interest.

What to bring:

Identification : Bring a form of identification, such as a passport or driver's licence.

Event Materials : Bring any event materials you have received, such as your badge or program.

Business Cards : Bring business cards to exchange with other attendees. A QR code with your contact and other necessary information also works.

Notebook and Pen : Bring a notebook and pen to take notes during the event.

Mobile Charger : Bring a mobile charger or a power bank to ensure your phone is fully charged throughout the day.

During the Event :

 Arrival Time : Arrive early to avoid long lines and ensure a smooth registration process.
